Hi everybody! We’re students at Sarmiento high school, we´re in fifth year and we would like to talk about our trip to London and share our experience with you.
In this article, you will find the best information to have the perfect travel. In this trip you will see concerts, the most important places to visit, exotic food, interviews of famous people, and much more.

London is one of the most important cities in Europe and the world, it´s the capital city of England. There are people coming from all over the world, with different culture, religion and languages, but English is the most spoken one.

This city has the most international visitors of any city in the world; it attracts 20 million international visitors per year. So if you want to visit to London you need to know: the weather, the transport, the British currency, the hostel, the map, and much more.
  • The weather is unpredictable, oscillating between rain and sunshine within the space of minutes.  For that reason, you should be prepared to expect all four seasons in one day and get dressed accordingly!  London in Summer is very beautiful,  but  always unpredictable so you should bring a light jacket and a waterproof just in case it rains!
  • The British currency is still pounds Sterling, you can change the money in banks, bureaux de change offices, hotels and post offices.
  • Transport: How to get around once you get here?
        Visiting London without getting on the metro, the bus or a taxi is almost impossible. Although walking is a great choice, the long distances make it necessary to use urban transport.
        London offers one of the best public transport networks in the world, including subways, trains, buses, bicycles and much more at a very affordable price!

  • Airplane: We have traveled by American Airlines. The day of departure was is August 20 at  9am to London. 2 hours later we stopped in the USA, then continue the flight to London. And we reached to London at 4am. The flight to London is 13 hours.
           When we arrived in London we had lunch and we went to see Britney Spears show. At the end of the show we were very lucky  to have a dialogue with her.

       One day, we visited the Manchester City football stadium and we were surprised when Carlos Tevez sit down next to us. He was very friendly so we asked him the following questions.

Cómo hacer Pan !!!


Como hacer un buen pan:

Ingredientes:

- 1 kg. de harina 0000.
- 50 gr. de levadura fresca.
- 2 tazas de agua.
- 2 cucharadas de aceite.
- 1 cucharadita de sal fina.
- 1 cucharadita de azúcar.

Modo de preparación:

     Colocar la harina sobre la mesada y darle forma de volcán. Luego espolvorear la sal sobre la harina, es importante que la sal no caiga sobre el hueco del volcán pues al verter la levadura, si esta toca la sal, se hechara a perder. En un recipiente colocamos una de las tazas de agua (preferentemente tibia) y disolvemos allí la levadura con el azúcar. Verter esta preparación en el hoyo del volcán y agregar la otra taza de agua con el aceite. Comienza a integrar los secos (que se encuentran por fuera) con los líquidos (que se encuentran en el centro) con las manos. Si notas que la masa está muy "pegote" es porque le falta más harina, pero cuidado, cuanta más harina agregues más seco y pesado quedara tu pan. El paso siguiente es el amasado, es ideal que dure un buen rato, pero si no estás entrenada te cansaras fácilmente!! Luego divide la masa en bollos, los que creas necesarios según el tamaño de pan que desees, y déjalos levar tapados con un lienzo (si esta en un ambiente caluroso mejor) hasta que dupliquen su volumen. Para finalizar introducir los bollos sobre una placa aceitada, hacer una cruz con el cuchillo sobre cada uno y llevarlos al horno hasta que estén doraditos en la superficie y en la base. Para cerciorarse de que están bien cocidos, introducir un cuchillo o palito en cada pan para que salga seco, si no, esta aun crudo. Luego no tendrá más que hacer, que disfrutar de esta sencilla y económica receta.

¿Como actúa la levadura?

     Las levaduras son fermentos vivos, bacterias comestibles, que están presentes de forma natural en el aire y en los alimentos. La levadura reacciona químicamente con los azúcares de la harina, produciendo un gas, que es el que hace subir la masa del pan.

Las levaduras se clasifican en tres grupos:

a- Levaduras prensadas: viene en forma de pasta prensada en bloques, también llamada levadura fresca, ya que se debe conservar en frío, y tiene un periodo de caducidad relativamente corto. Para usarla hay que diluirla en agua antes de añadirla a la harina para hacer el pan.
b- Levadura seca: suele venir en sobres herméticos, es la misma que la anterior pero deshidratada y granulada (en polvo). Se puede añadir directamente a la harina para el pan, no es necesario diluir en agua. Es la que mejores resultados suele dar en casa, ya que su caducidad es larga y produce una subida muy uniforme de las masas.
c- Levadura química: (polvo de hornear) En realidad no es una levadura en el sentido estricto, más bien se trata de un emulsionante químico, basado en bicarbonato y otros componentes, cuya acción es reaccionar, durante la cocción en el horno, con el huevo y grasas de los bizcochos y galletas produciendo un gas que es el que hace que queden esponjosos.  
     Las levaduras naturales, tanto prensada como fresca, actúan antes del horneado, ya que mueren a los 50º. Por ello hay que fermentar la masa antes de meterla al horno. La levadura química, al contrario, actúa durante la cocción, por lo que no sirve para hacer 
pan. En realidad solo se usa para hacer galletas, tortas y algunos tipos de bizcochos.

¿Por que utilizamos aceite y no manteca?

La manteca a pesar de ser más sabrosa que el aceite, es más insalubre pues es una grasa animal que eleva mucho el colesterol del cuerpo, además de ser generalmente más cara. Los aceites son ácidos grasos poli saturados (grasa vegetal) que se metabolizan, sin aumentar las cadenas de colesterol hdl, por lo que se consideran menos dañinos para la salud del cuerpo.
